On-Site Art Competition

The AYAA’s On-Site Competition allows students to create works of art the morning of the competition. Students will be given a prompt and then asked to create a work of art in the allotted time. The completed artworks will then be judged, and each category will receive awards. There are six different categories in which students may create works of art.
OS1 - All Dry Color Media
Student artists will be able to create artworks using only colored pencils, soft pastels, oil pastels, or any other dry color mediums.
Student artists will be able to create artworks using only charcoal and/or conte’
OS3 - Marker / Pen / Gel Pen
Student artists will be able to create artworks using only markers, ink pens, and/or gel pens.
OS4 - Mixed Media
Student artists will be able to create artworks using any dry media, including but not limited to all of the media listed in the other categories as well as cut/torn paper, fabric, found objects and glue/glue stick.
OS5 - Pencil / Graphite
Student artists will be able to create artworks using only graphite, including drawing pencils, ebony pencil, graphite stick, etc.
OS6 - Sculpture
Student artists will be able to create 3-Dimensional artworks using paper, string, glue, cardboard, tape, fabric, found objects ect.
